Your personal data

In order to advise you properly on which insurance products suit your situation, we will discuss this with you. During this discussion, we will ask you various questions. These questions relate to your knowledge of and experience with financial services, your wishes and needs insofar as they are relevant to the insurance advice, and your willingness to bear certain risks yourself or your desire to cover them.

We attach great importance to ensuring that your personal data is processed in a manner that complies with existing safeguards for the protection of your privacy. We process your personal data exclusively in relation to the products offered by Ivory Global Care. All processing is in accordance with the law and is carried out in a proper and careful manner.

If you do have a complaint or comment, we would like to hear from you. If you do not wish to share your personal data with us, we will not be able to offer you insurance that meets your specific needs.

We handle your data with care

We handle the data we receive from you with care. We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized third parties from gaining access to this data. All our employees have also signed a confidentiality agreement.

How do we use the data we receive from you?

We use the data we receive from you to determine whether and, if so, under what conditions we can offer you insurance or take out insurance for you. In the event of a claim, this involves sharing data with a (legal assistance) insurer or claims service. We only pass on the personal data we receive from you to third parties when this is necessary to carry out a specific part of your assignment.

We only pass on data that these third parties actually need in order to carry out the work we have requested them to do for you.

How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain the data for longer than is necessary to perform the work we have been commissioned to do for you. No later than seven years after the insurance policies we have arranged for you have expired, we will destroy the personal data we have received from you in this context.

What are your rights?

You are our customer. This means you have the right to determine which data we receive from you and which we do not. But you also have other rights. We summarize these below.

  1. You may always request an overview of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this overview free of charge.
  2. If you believe that we have processed certain data about you incorrectly in our records, you can request a correction. We greatly appreciate this, because we can only do our job properly if the data we work with is correct.
  3. If you no longer want us to have certain data in our records, you can request that we delete this data. In that case, we will of course comply with your request.
  4. We have indicated above how we use the information we receive from you. If at any time you wish to restrict this use, for example, if you do not want us to pass on certain information to a particular organization, please let us know. We will, of course, comply with this request.
  5. When we receive personal information about you from third parties, such as your insurer, accountant, bank, or other financial advisors, we will inform you of the source from which we received this information.
